RIBBON CUT AT POPPY’S WILDCRAFT

Poppy’s Wildcraft opened the end of May at 297 Oak Ave. in downtown Spruce Pine.

Owners Rick and Kim Hageman moved here permanently from Asheville and look forward to becoming a part of the mountain community. Kim, a commissioned artist, has spent most of her career drawing and creating several types of art.

Her store features herbal products, botanical soaps, therapy packs, healing salves, sprays and scrubs, essential oils, spa gift baskets, artwork, jewelry, as well as herbal, soap and essential oil classes.

Store hours are noon-6 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday; and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
