Gov. Roy Cooper announced NC 2-1-1 by United Way of North Carolina as a resource for people to call for assistance related to the Covid-19 coronavirus.
LEDGER – Mitchell County Schools began its remote learning curriculum Monday, March 23, in response to the threat of the coronavirus, the same day Gov.
• All Mitchell County government offices are closed to foot traffic. All county offices will still be open by appointment and phone call to all who need assistance.
BAKERSVILLE – The Mitchell County Board of Commissioners at a special meeting Monday, March 19, announced Timothy Greene as the new county manager.
RALEIGH – Chief Justice Cheri Beasley announced several directives affecting the operation of the North Carolina court system aimed at protecting public safety during the outbreak of COVID-19.
LEDGER – The State of the County Health Report, or SOTCH, for Mitchell County revealed the efforts Toe River Health District made to address specific health concerns.
