Lady Mountaineers make history at NC Women’s Championships

    The Lady Mountaineers wrestling team made their inaugural appearance at the North Carolina Women’s Dual Team Championships on Saturday.

    The team went 3-3 against Dixon High School in the first round and 4-2 against Robbinsville High School in the second round.

    However, despite their strong performance, the team was unable to overcome the disadvantage of forfeits due to not having competitors for every weight class.

    The team looks forward to competing again at the conference tournament on Friday.
